Maiden Flight
All the stuff ready to assemble plane for the maiden flight ...
This plane look like new - or not?
... and the fuselage is so wonderfully white.
By the way: the label "Cirrus MOd" is derived from Cirrus Melber / Ohnimus - modified. The font is the original one from 1969 and can be downloaded here.
Assembling the glider - Thomas (the pilot) checks the space in the cockpit. Thanks to Melone (standing in front of the glider) for the tow ...
Checking the clutch - works.
Shortly before takeoff - Thomas has still something to laugh.
Ready for the maiden-flight - now the towing plane can come.
Tight - ready - ...
... and free.
The Cirrus can really fly - its nearly unbelievable... after so much hours of work.
Hopefully all is build in the glider in the right way - in this moment you think about each single screw. Everybody who does not such an major overhaul before cannot imagine this feeling...
There it flies ...
The eagle has landed ...
Debriefing: No critical situation - it flies really nice and in the stall it went straight on - nothing more needed.
Leisure time - putting all the stuff in the trailer. Now nice flights with the Std. Cirrus can come ...
